Datum: 12-03-2026
Tijd: 14.30 – 16.00 uur (New York tijd)
Locatie: UN Church Center, New York
This session is part of the CSW70 NGO Forum that takes place 9 – 19 March 2026 in New York simultaneous to the Commission at the Status of Women at the United Nations. It is organised by alliance Politica and RE-WIRING.
This event focuses on how political and public participation of women and girls in all their diversity can be increased in different contexts, from the local to the global level. What pathways are there for positive obligations for institutional actors to strengthen women’s leadership? What role can and should governments and political parties play in creating safe environments for women in all their diversity to become and stay politically active? What new narratives could accompany these efforts? This event aims to foster dialogue from across the globe on breaking down systemic barriers, driving system change, and the power of collaboration to go full force for women’s leadership and decision making.
